How Mindful Giving Foundation collects, uses, shares, and protects your information.

Mindful Giving Foundation ("we," "us," or "the Foundation") is a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, EIN 42-3046033. We help partner nonprofits run in-kind giving programs through donor wishlists. This policy describes how we handle personal information collected through this website.
Information you give us directly. When you use the contact form on our Talk to Us page, we collect what you provide: your organization's name, your organization's website, your name, your email address, and your message.
Donation information. If you make a donation through a wishlist connected to Mindful Giving Foundation, we (or the third-party payment processor handling the transaction) collect the information needed to process that gift, such as your name, contact details, and payment information, and to issue your tax receipt.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and security providers automatically log standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you visit, for security and site performance purposes.
Information from third parties. We do not currently purchase or receive marketing information about you from data brokers or other third parties.
This site currently uses only the minimal technical cookies needed for basic functionality. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not currently run analytics or tracking tools on this site. If that changes, we'll update this policy to reflect it.
We use the information described above to:
Respond to your inquiries and follow up about partnering with us; process and acknowledge donations made through a connected wishlist, including issuing tax receipts; operate, maintain, and improve this website; and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles or run targeted ad campaigns.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes. We do share information in these limited circumstances:
Service providers. With vendors who help us operate this site, host our data, or process donations (such as a payment processor), who are only permitted to use it to provide those services to us.
Partner organizations. Where necessary to fulfill a wishlist donation, such as letting a partner nonprofit know a specific item on their list has been funded.
Legal reasons. When required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Foundation or others.
Business transfers. As part of a merger, sale, or transfer of some or all of our assets, in which case we'd expect any successor to honor the commitments in this policy.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect information appropriately for its sensitivity.
We keep information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, process a donation, meet our recordkeeping and tax obligations, or as otherwise required by law.
You can contact us at any time to ask what information we have about you, request that we correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because this site doesn't currently use marketing cookies, ad tracking, or SMS marketing, there isn't an opt-out needed for those today; if that changes, this policy will explain how to opt out.
Depending on where you live, state privacy laws may give you additional rights over your personal information, such as the right to know what we've collected about you, and the right to request its deletion. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below.
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
